    Sabah aerospace to produce future scientists in NANO lighting and urban farming

    KOTA KINABALU: The KKIP Aerospace Training Centre (KATC) is looking beyond aerospace training by aiming to produce inventors and scientists.

    Its chief executive officer Aminuddin Zakaria said KATC was diversifying its training by introducing NANO lighting technology and urban farming syllabus to produce future inventors and young scientists in Sabah.

    He said the initiative was to support Sabah government in promoting Science Technology & Innovations (STI) towards becoming a high technology nation.

    “Our objective is to expose Sabahans to the latest technology on energy management for climate change and food security for urban farming through NANO technology,” he said in a statement.MORE NEWS

    KATC earlier signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Quantum Nano Engineering Sdn. Bhd. at KKIP Aerospace Training Centre facility in Sepanggar, today. It was witnessed by Assistant Minister of Industrial Development Sabah, Tamin Zainal.

    Five areas that will be explored by KATC and Quantum Nano Engineering Sdn. Bhd. are NANO lighting and urban farming training, energy management/conservation, greenhouse technology, NANO research technology, and a manufacturing plant for domestic and international supply chain markets.

    Technical director cum inventor of Quantum Nano, Eddie Yeoh said the partnership would help create awareness and provide a platform for young Sabahans to share ideas and new inventions towards green technology.
